Throughout the years, we have expanded internationally into core energy markets of Europe and Middle East. Moreover, we have grown our business by adding specialized practices such as Change, Lean and Innovation. In addition, we are focusing heavily on the digital transformation and the associated changes that all companies in the industry have to face. Our Digital Unit in Düsseldorf and the LRN LAB in Berlin are strong additional units of innogy Consulting. Partner Change
innogy Consulting GmbH, formerly RWE Consulting GmbH

since 2014
Location: Munich, Germany

When I joined RWE Consulting in 2014, RWE was undergoing a major transformation. Due to fundamental changes in the energy market, not only did a new business model emerge, but it became necessary to hone new leadership skills and to develop a new corporate culture in order to continue operating as a successful company. That motivated me to join RWE Consulting and is what has made the last few years so exciting for me. Our Change Practice supported RWE during this journey employing our expertise in systemic change leadership. We’re proud of the cultural change we’ve achieved so far.

Our systemic competencies are in demand throughout the entire RWE Group. We’re involved in executive programs, coachings, large group events and various kinds of project work. Throughout the process, we apply a systemic mindset in order to help individuals, teams and organizations to first understand the situation they’re in (i.e. whether, for example, dysfunctional patterns are hindering desired change) and to accompany them with targeted interventions.

Partner Change & Head of Change Practice
innogy Consulting GmbH, formerly RWE Consulting GmbH

since 2016
Location: Munich, Germany

Supporting organizations and enabling people to create an appreciative and yet effective culture has always been a matter of the heart to me in my profession and work as a consultant.

Joining the Change practice at Innogy Consulting in 2016 did not only give me the opportunity to do what I truly love in a highly professional environment. It also gave me the chance to change from consulting organizations from the outside to co-creating a new culture from the inside. And this right during the exciting time of our Innogy IPO. While separating the Innogy from RWE our goal as Change Practice was to support our new organization into a profitable, culturally resilient and efficient player in the energy market. This gave us the great chance to evaluate who we were as an organization in order to keep the existing good and at the same time define our cultural vision of how we want to be and create something new, innovative sustainable and yet adaptable.

In my current position as Head of Change Practice in a company that has now moved on three years I am still proud of what Innogy has achieved and how we managed to support change and development throughout this journey. With my view on a larger scale, Innogy is the living proof that real change and culture development is ongoing and dynamic – it does not have a beginning and an end. Especially with the current major change evolving, the necessity to support our organization and its people in not only successfully navigating these complex transformations from a business view but also creating space for all adjourning hopes and fears of those involved is a big challenge we gladly face and tackle every day. As Innogy changes and learns every day, so do we as the whole change Practice Team.

Change happens – it can´t be managed and has to be viewed from a systemic perspective. For me personally there is nothing more rewarding than being right in the center of this process every day, witnessing the changes in myself, my team and the whole organization.

Change is not a problem to be struggled through and dealt with – Change is always a journey with more opportunities than threats. My Team and me at the Change Practice are not only dedicated to professionally supporting and accompanying organizations and individuals on their unique and personal way forward – we actually love doing it because Change can be fun.

Partner & Managing Director (UK)
innogy Consulting & Ventures UK Ltd. – part of innogy Consulting GmbH, formerly RWE Consulting GmbH

since January 2010
Location: London, United Kingdom

I joined innogy Consulting, then RWE Consulting, in 2010. The last decade has been a tumultuous time for both our clients and  the industry, as it has gone through an evolution that I believe will continue to change and disrupt the playing field and how we think about energy in the years to come.

Increasingly we face new questions and opportunities emerging along the fault lines of a transforming industry. The imminence of smart living and e-mobility, the shift to decentralised and decarbonised energy systems, the importance of digital and data, and the role of new players and innovators in the market, are all forces for disruption, but is what excites me about working in the industry today

My ambition over the coming decade is to help my clients innovate to deal with these opportunities, whilst optimising and managing what is a predominantly regulated business.

I have advised clients in Europe, with a particular focus on the UK, on issues concerning all areas of the value chain. I have extensive experience from Oil & Gas up- and downstream, to large scale power generation, power distribution and of course the supply of energy and energy services. .

I firmly believe that innogy Consulting with both its diverse practice-based expertise and with its deeply rooted energy industry heritage and expertise has a unique value proposition, particularly in the UK.
