Management at innogy Consulting

Dr. Klaus Grellmann,
Managing Director

Professional experience

Managing Director
innogy Consulting GmbH, formerly RWE Consulting GmbH

since January 2007
Location: Essen, Deutschland

When I started as Managing Director in 2007, I had the ambition to transform the company from process and IT consulting into a highly profitable top management and strategy consultancy. Today, innogy Consulting is involved in almost every project on board level and operates in full competition to the top 3 external consulting firms. Throughout the years, we have expanded internationally into core energy markets of Europe and Middle East. Moreover, we have grown our business by adding specialized practices such as Change, Lean and Innovation. In addition, we are focusing heavily on the digital transformation and the associated changes that all companies in the industry have to face. Our Digital Unit in Düsseldorf and the LRN LAB in Berlin are strong additional units of innogy Consulting.

We manage projects along the entire energy value chain and have constantly supported the RWE Group with its transformation from a large utility into a modern European Energy company. With the recent successful IPO of innogy, this transformation achieved a gigantic milestone. More than a third of our 160 consultants supported the RWE Group with this challenging but exciting project.
