One of the key competencies of our in-house consulting for me is the international mind set. Being able to apply international best practices allows us to deliver maximum value to our clients. Being based in the Den Bosch Office since several years, I was able to learn best practices from international colleagues and share my Dutch experiences. By embracing the different cultures and experiences we can create and deliver exceptional results for our clients that are applicable across the different countries of the RWE Group.
innogy is one of the biggest Energy players in the European market facing rapid changes in its environment. Being at the heart beat of this change and actively shaping the future of a company of this size is a great experience and contribution to my personal development.
The challenge of in-house consulting is on the one hand to move between the priorities of being able to integrate and seek consensus and on the other hand to implement good solution concepts for our customers. In an in-house consulting company, that special kind of sensitivity is in particular demand since the Group consulting business field operates within far smaller boundaries than the customer potential in an external consultancy.
I hold a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from the Charles University in Prague. Prior to joining innogy Consulting, I worked for several years in the corporate finance field where I gained valuable knowledge of financial processes as well as solid negotiation skills. I decided on in-house consulting because one of the challenging and intellectually stimulating environment with the huge variety of projects.
innogy Consulting is a top professional service organisation comparable with major global strategic firms. I especially like its above-average investment in developing its people. A career with innogy Consulting is a great opportunity for growth, not just as a consulting professional, but also for moving to senior positions within innogy across Europe.
Joining the change practice was a personal challenge I wanted to experience, coming from a “classical” project management context focussed on facts, figures and economic optimisation. I recognised that there is also a different way of working with people: you can work on behavioural and emotional topics, try out new things and experience how it works. Being part of the change practice offers me the chance to accompany individuals and teams on their change journeys, together with experienced and professional colleagues from innogy Consulting. For me personally it brought a lot of new insights into how and why people act the way they do within systemic structures.
My main reason for joining innogy Consulting was that I was fascinated by the high degree of importance that “Change” enjoys at RWE. This is evident in the many change initiatives and interventions aiming for developments on the personal, team, project and organisational levels as well as in the professionalism with which innogy Consulting supports change. My enthusiasm continues to increase as I experience the enjoyment of working with motivated and experienced colleagues and see how we develop the “HOW” side within innogy together to enable the improvement of business results.
